This Week’s Wild Moment

In the over half century of observing critters in some of their wildest habitats several truths have become evident. Today’s lesson comes from the sleek and vigilant felines.

First, while enjoying community, they do not indulge in distractions of the handheld variety, such as these two as they share a refreshing beverage.

And second, when it comes to mindfulness, when they come together to share that refreshing beverage, they take steps to assure their companion has the opportunity to drink without fear. No bad actor or predator has the opportunity to taint the watering hole when they are in dangerous territory. As is demonstrated here, one stands watch allowing the other to drink in peace.
